Royal Selangor welcomes 2025, the Year of the Snake with a brand-new zodiac-inspired collection. The snake is the sixth sign in the Chinese zodiac, crossing the finish line after the dragon. In Asian culture, the snake is symbolic of the supernatural and spiritual.
Many believe that people born in the Year of the Snake are mysterious and protective of their loved ones. They are also known to possess great wisdom.
Limited Edition 2025 Year of the Snake Plaque
The 24K gilt snake curiously and attentively raises its head to survey its environment. Behind it is a backdrop of a repeating wan or ‘ten thousand years’ longevity pattern. Stylised waves, rocks and clouds provide a dramatic backdrop in crimson composite resin, lending focus to the golden snake. The plaque's prominent disc and rectilinear frame allude to the Chinese concept of the earthly plane and the dome of heaven, with allusions to universal harmony.
Only 1,000 individually numbered pieces worldwide. Includes an engraving plate for personalisation in either landscape or portrait orientation.
2025 Year of the Snake Figurine
The snake coils itself on rugged rocky terrain, relying on its body for support as it gazes optimistically into the distant horizon. The three-dimensional 24K gilt pewter figurine sits atop a base of crimson composite resin decorated with stylised motifs of waves, rocks and clouds. An engraving plate is available for personalisation.
2025 Year of the Snake Wealth Bowl
In Chinese geomancy or feng shui, an open bowl with a gold element attracts good fortune. A coiling snake takes its position across the 24K gilt central medallion, while a frieze of the twelve animals engaged in the Great Race surrounds it.
Base in red composite resin, carved with stylised red waves, rocks, and clouds. Comes with an engraving plate for personalisation.
2025 Year of the Snake Seal
The snake, curled and content, rests peacefully atop a soapstone plinth.
