Royal Selangor recently unveiled a series of collectibles that paid homage to stories from a galaxy far, far away…where Rebel heroes fanned the flickering light of hope in a heroic stand against the evil Galactic Empire. The collection launched at Star Wars™ Celebration Japan 2025, held from 18–20 April at Booth 14-6, Hall 2, Makuhari Messe, Japan.
From medallions that embody the Age of Rebellion to a stunning chess set featuring 24K gilt playing pieces, each creation is a testament to Royal Selangor’s craftsmanship and devotion to the Star Wars legacy.
Designed for collectors and fans alike, Royal Selangor captured the spirit of the epic saga in striking detail with each of these exclusive releases.
Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025-exclusive Star Wars Rebel & Empire Medallions
A tribute to the timeless battle between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire, these exclusive medallions feature two designs: one bears the starbird crest of the Rebel Alliance, while the other, the commanding insignia of the Galactic Empire - each a striking symbol of allegiance. Each medallion’s reverse face features the official Star Wars Celebration Japan emblem, perfect as memorabilia for the event.
Meticulously crafted with intricate detailing, these collector’s pieces embody the enduring spirit of the Star Wars saga. The Rebel medallion features a satin finish, while the Empire medallion boasts a dramatic dark tint.
Each design is limited to only 1,500 pieces, and available exclusively at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025.
Also available as a limited edition 24K gilt set, with only 500 sets. This exclusive set features gilded versions of both medallions, presented in a specially crafted wooden box.
Limited Edition Star Wars Gilt Classic Chess Set
The valiant Rebel Alliance and the formidable Imperial forces take their battle to the chessboard.
Exquisitely crafted in 24K gilt pewter, each piece represents an iconic Star Wars character, poised for a strategic face-off. Chess pieces inspired by the Rebellion gleam in their unyielding brilliance, while those symbolising the Empire exude power with a dramatic dark-tinted gilt finish. Resting atop sleek bonded porcelain plinths, these finely detailed figures command attention.
The battle unfolds on a striking tempered glass chessboard, elevated by satin-finish pewter feet.
Only 100 sets available. The chess set will be unveiled and released at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025.
Also making its debut at Star Wars Celebration Japan is the brand-new Mandalorian BE@RBRICK, honouring the fan-favourite story of the Mandalorian, Din Djarin. Timed perfectly for the “May the 4th” fan holiday, also known as “Star Wars Day”, this release is a striking homage to the beloved bounty hunter.
Once a lone bounty hunter, the Mandalorian, otherwise known as Din Djarin, makes his way through a dangerous galaxy in an uncertain age. Now reunited with Grogu, the journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. This iconic character cuts a recognisable silhouette with his armour, much of which is forged from beskar, a rare and nearly indestructible metal found on Mandalorian worlds.
Royal Selangor now presents its interpretation of the Mandalorian in this limited edition BE@RBRICK. Clad in intricately-sculpted pewter, this figurine is designed to evoke the unmistakable sheen of beskar.
Every detail of Din Djarin’s battle-worn gear is faithfully recreated, from his T-visored helmet and heart plate vest to his pauldrons, vambraces, and greaves. A bandolier and utility belt stretch across the BE@RBRICK’s form, a nod to the tools of a bounty hunter’s trade.
The Mandalorian BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR makes its debut on 18 April 2025 at Star Wars Celebration Japan, before becoming available at Royal Selangor retail stores, online at royalselangor.com and at MEDICOM TOY’s retail stores.
