Malaysiana: Of hibiscus, hornbills and heritage
Royal Selangor celebrates Malaysia’s national icons through Malaysiana, a collection inspired by the country’s natural heritage. Featuring the hibiscus, Malaysia’s national flower, and the rhinoceros hornbill, the national bird, each piece highlights symbols deeply rooted in national identity. The collection also pays tribute to vintage Malaysian Ringgit banknotes first issued in 1986, with graphic motifs drawn from the RM500 note. Designs combine low-relief sculpting with sunken detailing, creating a rich contrast in texture and meaning. Finished in satin highlight, the series offers a refined and tactile experience.
Malaysiana Plate
A display piece featuring sculpted hornbills and hibiscus on the rim, two of Malaysia’s most iconic symbols, framed by sunken motifs inspired by vintage currency. Includes a large engraving area, perfect for personalisation, gifting, or as a souvenir.
Malaysiana Photo Frame 4R
Designed to fit a standard 4R photo, this frame combines national motifs with understated background patterns. Plain side panels provide space for custom engraving.
