Royal Selangor proudly unveils new additions to its Warisan collection — an evocative celebration of Malaysia's rich and diverse cultural legacy. The latest update draws its inspiration from artefacts that hark back to the times of Srivijaya – reflected in the wau plaques – and also references from other parts of maritime Southeast Asia, as expressed in the keris plaques, pin tray and vase. Perfect for gifting, Warisan II honours Malaysia’s national icons by synthesising centuries of Malay tradition that blend Indian, Chinese and Middle Eastern influences.
Wau Plaque MD & SM
The plaque features a sculpted wood frame that holds a pewter wau or kite set against a carved Mega Mendung cloud backdrop. This composition powerfully reflects Malaysia’s national identity, referencing influences from across the entire Nusantara region. The wau — a potent symbol from the Malay Peninsula’s East Coast — is featured in three classic forms: the wau burung (bird kite), wau bulan (moon kite) and wau jala budi (bodhi kite). All are set against a Cirebon-style cloudy sky backdrop. A polished extruded pewter border completes the piece, making it a sophisticated choice for either gifting or display. Space is available for engraving.

Warisan Vase
The Warisan Vase combines a slender silhouette with the deep, rich textures of Southeast Asian woodcarving. The standout element is the sculpted Mega Mendung motif, inspired by the iconic “cloudy sky” batik of Cirebon, Java. This pattern itself is a cultural tapestry: a Chinese motif refined and Javanised over the centuries, now fully integrated into the Malay decorative art grammar. A satin pewter finish gives the vase an undeniable heirloom status, treating the design with the respect it deserves. This formality is beautifully offset by the playful spin of its composite resin base, which adds a final touch of charm and delight.

Warisan Pin Tray
The Pin Tray is a compact, artistic accessory that features a rotating pewter top set on a composite resin base. Both the pewter and the base are adorned with the iconic Mega Mendung motif. This delicate carving honours traditional craftsmanship, while the piece’s tactile spinning detail adds a playful, functional element. It's the perfect blend of practical use and artistic design for a desk or vanity.
Warisan Keris Series
A refreshed take on a Royal Selangor classic, the new Warisan Keris series revisits one of the brand’s longest-standing offerings. This trio – Keris Madura, Keris Semenanjung and Keris Bali – presents the iconic blade forms from different cultural spheres within the Malay Archipelago. Each is set against a sculpted wood panel, encased in a wooden frame with pewter detailing. Select pieces feature subtle gilding to highlight the sacred and ceremonial role of the keris. Includes an engraving plate for personalisation.
Every piece captures the unique spirit of its origin, rendered in fine pewter. The Semenanjung keris, a symbol of Peninsular Malaysian ceremonial elegance, features a majestic straight blade and a sheath cast with flowing foliate bands. From East Java, the powerful Keris Madura boasts a dynamic, sinuous blade — the distinctive lok waves — and a richly detailed handle that preserves Madurese motifs. Finally, the Keris Bali channels the island’s vibrant mythic artistry, with its hilt and sheath showcasing intricately detailed carvings of mythological and Hindu legends.
