Struck in fine pewter to mark the 40th anniversary of the theatrical release in 1977 of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, this commemorative token features a Lucasfilm-created image of Luke Skywalker, with the official ‘Star Wars 40’ logo on the reverse.

The portrait is cast in deep relief, with shadows rendered in an intense black to accentuate the brushed finish of the raised surfaces. Curved faceted surrounds add to the satisfying feel and weight of the token.
