The Joy collection features four limited-edition pewter figurines replicated from Eng Tay’s original bronze statues. Departing from his usual vibrant palette, these pieces are finished in monochromatic black and white, with a dark stain applied to the clothing. This finish not only serves the artist visual concept but also highlights the meticulous detailing of the facial features, the instruments and the flowing fabrics – a celebration of familial bond and harmonious relationship.
Eng Tay also envisions these replicas as physical black-and-white photographs of his work, paying homage to the medium. By removing colour, he invites viewers to focus entirely on form and emotion, ensuring these sculptures seamlessly integrate into any contemporary or classic interior decor.
Limited Edition Mother and Baby Figurine
The Limited Edition Mother and Baby Figurine is limited to just 100 pieces worldwide. It stands at 21 by 38 x 16 cm and is crafted at exactly four fifths the size of the original statue. It perfectly captures the intimate bond of motherhood through sweeping curves and gentle posturing.
Complementing this centrepiece is a musical trio with each piece limited to 200 units worldwide, sculpted to the exact dimensions of the original bronzes.

The Limited Edition Dancer Figurine measures 19.8 x 7 x 7 centimetres. It embodies the grace of movement and rhythmic expression.

About Eng Tay
Born in Malaysia and currently operating from his studio in TriBeCa in New York, Eng Tay has built an illustrious international career. He moved to New York City in 1968 to study at The Art Students League before graduating from The School of Visual Arts as a graphic designer in 1972. His works are deeply rooted in values of love and compassion. They capture fleeting moments that encompass joy and contentment. His art has been exhibited extensively across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States. In a hurried modern world, his creations stir the core of the observer with their focus on tender familial moments and melodic joy.
