Designer's Profile Born in Penang, Multhalib pursued his Bachelor's degree in Design Studies at the University of Adelaide and Bachelor of Architecture from MARA Institute of Technology. Regarded as one of Malaysia's leading contemporary sculptors, Multhalib was presented with the Award of Excellence at the 6th Oita Asian Sculpture Open Competition in Japan in 2002 and was commissioned to create a major outdoor sculpture for the Beijing Olympics, China in 2008. Multhalib is also responsible for the design of the 10th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards trophy made by Royal Selangor. The pendant design 'Breakaway' captures the essence of Multhalib's iconic sculpture 'Breaking Up'.
