A limited edition of 1,977 individually numbered boxed sets worldwide.

Limited edition tokens, struck in pewter and gilt in 24K gold, commemorate the 40th anniversary of the theatrical release in 1977 of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.

The tokens’ Lucasfilm-created portraits of the three protagonists are cast in deep relief, with shadows rendered in an intense black to accentuate the rich brushed gold finish of the raised surfaces. The reverse features the official Star Wars 40 logo. Reminiscent of Republic credit ingots, curved faceted surrounds add to the tokens’ satisfying tactile quality.
