Xiang Tea Caddy
Size: H7cm x Dia 9.5cm
Aligning the set of three rings on Freeman Lau’s caddy transforms the scattering of elegant calligraphy, drawn from the Museum’s vast collection of calligraphic works, into names of the four celebrated varieties of Chinese tea on its lid; Tie Guanyin, Wulong, Longjing and Dongfang Meiren.
Freeman Lau, a founding partner of Hong Kong’s Kan and Lau Design Consultants, is a graphic designer and fine artist, a frequent speaker at international design forums, and the recipient of the HKSAR government’s Bronze Bauhinia Star in recognition of his contributions in enhancing the identity of Hong Kong design.
